Designing work tools for high-intensity operational environments.

The project developed for Sincosald involves a new family of professional welding systems designed for continuous use and industrial applications.

The goal was to develop a more contemporary and consistent product design language, improving the ergonomics, technical accessibility, and perceived quality of the entire system.

The work focused on the day-to-day interaction between the operator and the machine, addressing interfaces, handles, accessibility, and functional organization to make the product more intuitive, robust, and easy to use.

The project also required careful integration of industrial design, technical architecture, and manufacturing requirements, focusing on assembly, ventilation, maintenance, and build quality to guide the system through to the industrialization phase.

PQ Design Group also oversees the production of the casing, ensuring continuity between development, manufacturing quality, and the final product.

Design Challenges

1. Improve the operator's day-to-day experience

Rethink interfaces, controls, and functional organization to make the system more intuitive, accessible, and easy to use.

2. Combine durability, ventilation, and build quality

Develop a coherent architecture capable of managing cooling, assembly, and maintenance in a high-operational-intensity environment.

3. Evolve the language while maintaining continuity and recognizability

Work on proportions, details, and formal architecture to create a new generation of products that are consistent with the brand’s historical identity.
