Industrial design for highly complex medical devices.
The project developed for LM Medical involves the redesign of a wall-mounted system intended for use in surgical and hospital settings.
The goal was to redesign the product to make it more ergonomic, streamlined, and intuitive for everyday use, while also improving technical integration, perceived quality, and the consistency of the system architecture.
Products of this type combine medical gases, power supplies, monitors, accessories, and electronic components that must be integrated into a highly technical environment without compromising accessibility, safety, and ease of use.
Particular attention was paid to the relationship between the operator and the product, focusing on the readability of interfaces, functional organization, ease of cleaning surfaces, and optimization of the user experience in complex healthcare settings.
1. Redefine the product in line with industry standards
Critically analyze the previous generation to develop a more advanced, competitive system that is aligned with the expectations of international medical markets.
2. Improve ergonomics and functional organization
Rethinking accessibility, readability, and the layout of elements to simplify the daily work of doctors and healthcare professionals.
1. Optimize the product on an industrial scale
Develop a system that is more robust, easier to maintain, and optimized for assembly and manufacturability compared to the previous version.
